Saturday 28-May-2005 Competition Day

Registration starts 10.00am.

On competition day, there will be 6 different events; downriver race, canoe polo challenge, sprint, flat-water slalom, freestyle and the ergo challenge.

For each competition there will be 5 divisions;under 13, under 16, men, women and veterans (over 40).

Prizes, sponsored by Nookie, will be awarded to the:

  • best individual paddler in each discipline by division,
  • best overall paddler in all disciplines by division,
  • best club performance, and
  • club with most registered attendees.

(Dam Release - 11:00am to 5:00pm)

The competition day timetable is as follows:

12:30-14:30 - Polo,
  - Sprint, and
  - flat-water Slalom
15:00          - Freestyle competition

Throughout the day, paddlers will be able to take part in a new competition for the North West Weekend this year, this time on dry land, with The Ergo Challenge.

17:00            - Presentation of prizes.
